On Saturday 14th September, Carrie-Anne took part in the Thames Path 50KM challenge walking from Putney Bridge to Runnymede. Carrie-Anne walked in memory of her Stepfather, Jack Hampshire and for the benefit of the Arthur Rank Hospice where he spent his finals days after suffering a stroke.

The Arthur Rank Hospice provides support to people in Cambridgeshire living with an advanced serious illness or other life-limiting conditions and for those who need end-of-life care. The care they provide is outstanding, supporting the families as much as caring for the patient.

The challenge saw Carrie-Anne walk 52.7KM (32.75 miles) in 11.5 hours, walking over 75,000 steps!.

“It was incredibly tough, mentally and physically walking for that long. My feet are extremely sore and are now covered in blisters.  The last Kilometre was especially tough as it seemed to go on forever in the dark. The sense of achievement walking through the finish line was immense!” – Carrie-Anne Davey

Many thanks to all of my colleagues for their sponsorship and support, and to the Betty Laws Foundation. The Arthur Rank Hospice are extremely grateful for your donations so they can continue their amazing work.

Congratulations to Carrie-Anne Davey.
